Development Associate/Assistant
Part-time, hourly (20 hours per week)
$30-35 per hour
Location: Hybrid (with on-site hours in the Northeast Bronx)
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Development Associate/Assistant to join our team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will bring exemplary organizational skills, technical proficiency, and a passion for development work to support our team in achieving its goals. This role will focus on providing assistance in various facets of our development efforts, ranging from project management to research, communication, and administrative support. The position is flexible with remote work options, but some hours will need to be completed on-site in the NE Bronx.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning and execution of development projects, ensuring all deliverables are met on time.
- Provide technical support and assist in maintaining development tools, databases, and systems.
- Prepare and organize documentation related to development projects, including processing donations and grants, reports, presentations, and proposals.
- Help coordinate meetings, track project timelines, and manage communication between internal teams and stakeholders.
- Assist in tracking budgets and preparing financial reports.
- Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the development department with general administrative duties.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in development, project management, or a similar field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong knowledge of project management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CRM tools, fundraising platforms, or donor databases (Bloomerang, Salesforce)
- A background in [relevant industry, such as nonprofit fundraising, software development, research, etc.].
- Knowledge of project management software (e.g. Asana).

Hip Hop Dance Teacher
Part-time, hourly
$55 per hour
Location: On-site
Estimated Start Date: Immediately
Overview
Mind-Builders Creative Arts Center, a multi-discipline creative arts organization located in the Northeast Bronx, is seeking an experienced and passionate dance educator, versed in hip-hop dance techniques for entry level classes for students between the ages 6-11 years old as part of its dance program. The program runs approximately 25-28 weeks, with classes running Saturdays, 10am – 11am and 11:15am – 12:15 pm, from October through May, culminating in an annual dance recital. All programs convene in person. In addition to weekly instruction, teachers are expected to participate in monthly faculty meetings, as well as individual planning meetings with the Dance Department Directors.
Primary responsibilities:
- Teach weekly classes Saturdays, 10am – 11am and 11:15am – 12:15pm
- Conduct engaging and dynamic age-appropriate classes (two groups: ages 6-8, 7-11)
- Develop lesson plans for class in alignment with the Department’s objectives and goals
- Attend monthly faculty meetings
- Participate in select organization engagement activities and events
- Prepare bi-annual student progress reports
- Develop choreography for student performances
- Prepare students to perform in an annual Dance recital
The ideal candidate will:
- Have at least 5 years of experience working in a structured studio setting with youth ages 5-12 years old, with experience in recital studio setting strongly preferred
- Deliver rigorous and exciting class instruction in a nurturing and empowering way
- Have experience developing choreography on young dancers
- Have excellent classroom management skills
- Have a patient and collaborative team spirit

In addition to weekly instruction, teachers are expected to participate in monthly faculty meetings, as well as individual planning meetings with the Dance Department Directors.
