Production Corps is a career exploration program for teens and young adults interested in learning about what happens beyond the stage, behind the scenes in performing arts and event design. Participants receive training and gain hands-on experience by producing their own and supporting Mind-Builders Creative Arts Center public events.
This is a paid training opportunity. See below for guidelines and requirements.
Ages: 16 – 21
Levels: Beginner with opportunities for continued learning
Sessions: Summer, Fall-Spring
WHAT WE OFFER
Production Corps participants:
- Learn practical skills in applying audio, lighting, set design and stage management skills to performances and events
- Train with professional production technicians and artists
- Apply their training through hands-on work during classes and public events
- Take field trips to performance venues

WHO PRODUCTION CORPS IS FOR
Production Corps is for teens and young adults who:
- Want to learn technical production and backstage operations
- Enjoy hands-on work and problem solving
- Are curious about how performances and events come together
- Want paid training and real work experience
Participants must be able to complete required work documentation:
- Applicants ages 16-17 must be able to complete/demonstrate work papers
- Applicants ages 18-21 must be able to complete I9/employment verification forms
