Mind-Builders music teachers can progressively advance student’s technique and enjoyment by using student’s particular musical interests and/or incorporating a broad foundation of European classical selections with an appropriately arranged repertoire from Caribbean, Latino, and African American spiritual, blues, jazz, and current/ contemporary youth culture traditions.

Music, Group Vocal & Voice

Private, semi-private, and small group lessons are available for 30 to 60+ minute duration for beginner through advanced level
students in:

• Guitar & Bass
• Suzuki Violin for ages 3 to 6 (with their parent)
• Inspirational/Gospel Choir
• Saxophone
• Flute
• Clarinet
• Drums/Percussion
• Piano
• Group Keyboard for ages 3 to 6 (with their parent)
• Standard Violin/Cello
• Steel Pans
• Voice

Practice is essential to success with an instrument and Mind-Builders provides free weekly piano lab practice time for students who may not have a piano at home. Instrument rental (or purchase) must be arranged separately and we can refer you to local sources that are available to contract with our families. Merit Scholarships for music studies are available based on auditions arranged by appointment with the coordinator of the Music Department.
